After soaring to ten  runs the game before, Pomfret School was a bit more limited  in their  game  on Saturday. They took  a  5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Millbrook School Mustangs. The Griffins haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

 Ryan Flynn was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off   seven  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Pomfret School saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Carson Ames, who  went 3-for-4 with one  run.  Teddy Stettinius also deserves some recognition as  he  got his first  hit of the season.
Pomfret School's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Millbrook School,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 4-2.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pomfret School will  face off against  rival Williston Northampton  at 3:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Millbrook School is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Frederick Gunn  at 2:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
