The KIPP King Lions can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 82-39 win over Wilson Prep at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win KIPP King has posted since November 20, 2023.
David Rogers was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 35 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of KIPP King's points. Another player making a difference was Zion Taylor, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds.
KIPP King is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Wilson Prep, they bumped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Oakland Unity the next time they take the court. KIPP King will head out to face Oakland Unity at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Wilson Prep will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
