Virginia Peterson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in February. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Dominique Bettencourt was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Ally Shaw was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
