Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dundy County-Stratton). They enjoyed a cozy 80-63 win over the Loomis Wolves on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Dundy County-Stratton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lane Bybee led the charge by dropping a double-double on 26 points and ten boards. That's the most points Bybee has posted since back in February of 2024. Cooper Shaw also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Loomis lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Hoyt Thorell, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points. Tyson Essex was another key player, going 7 of 14 en route to 15 points and six rebounds.

Dundy County-Stratton's record is now 9-3. As for Loomis, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Dundy County-Stratton Tigers take on the Wallace Wildcats at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Wallace will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Dundy County-Stratton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Loomis, they will head out to take on Brady at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
