After flying high against Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy two weeks ago, South Beloit came back down to earth. The South Beloit Sobos came up short against the Faith Christian Falcons on Tuesday, falling 58-34. The Sobos' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Faith Christian found their leader in sophomore Ziah Schuler, who went 7 for 10 on her way to 17 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. Those six steals gave Schuler a new career-high. South Beloit will face off against Christian Life at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Faith Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Galesburg Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Faith Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Galesburg Christian likes a good challenge.
