Sam Barrett and Blake Joppy provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Vermont Academy. The connection was good for 75 yards, the longest such play in Evergreen - Clements this season.
Proctor Academy extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Wildcats, 55-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Hornets.
Proctor Academy's dynamic duo of Barrett and Joppy proved tough for Vermont Academy to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Barrett threw for 75 yards and one touchdown and Joppy had 75 yards receiving.
Todd Collier was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 28 carries, he ran for 188 yards as New Hampton School beat the Wildcats. Teammate Milan Murray added to the ground attack by rushing for 58 yards.
Robert Donnelly made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Huskies lost to Pingree. The 5-foot-9 freshman grabbed one sack.
New Hampton School's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Huskies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Murray has thrown for 459 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Matthew Dean has 18 catches for 365 yards. Collier leads the league in rushing with 685 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Vermont Academy takes on Holderness. The Wildcats are in sixth place, while the Bulls are in third place.
