This season hasn't been kind to the Atmore Christian Rams, who are still winless after their fifth game. They were dealt a 68-36 defeat at the hands of Central Christian on Friday. Atmore Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-15.
Central Christian found their leader in underclassman Jarrod Harmon, who scored 18 points along with four steals. Harmon hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Daniel Wint, who scored six points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Atmore Christian bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.3 points per game. As for Central Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
Atmore Christian and Central Christian will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Central Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday. As for they, they will be playing at home against Atmore Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
