North Henderson secured a 60-54 W over Tuscola on Friday. Given North Henderson's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Tuscola is ranked 613th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading North Henderson to victory were Bryson Rowe and Noah Pierce. Rowe scored 15 points along with seven rebounds, while Pierce scored 20 points. The game was Pierce's 14th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Heiny, who scored seven points.
North Henderson's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. As for Tuscola, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
North Henderson will be playing at home against Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully North Henderson likes a good challenge. As for Tuscola, they will head out on the road to face off against East Henderson at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
