The University Christian Christians had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Florida School for the Deaf & Blind, posting a 58-29 win on the road. University Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 22 points or more this season.
Tacarri Neal continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alanna Tatum, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Despite the loss, Florida School for the Deaf & Blind still got an impressive performance from Kayla Debrow, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Debrow has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last 19 times she's played.
Florida School for the Deaf & Blind struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
University Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Florida School for the Deaf & Blind, their loss dropped their record down to 16-7.
University Christian will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against St. Joseph Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. St. Joseph Academy will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something University Christian surely won't give up without a fight. Florida School for the Deaf & Blind does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
