The McCallie Blue Tornado will square off against the Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. McCallie is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
While McCallie's win against Chattanooga Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Tornado narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Chargers 4-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Tornado.

Peyton Mcallister tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 5.1 innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had over his last five contests.
On the hitting side, Noah Wilson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Reagan Kulisek also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Boyd-Buchanan was able to grind out a solid win over Notre Dame on Tuesday, taking the game 8-3.
The team relied heavily on Kash Watkins, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Max Bates was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Boyd-Buchanan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive matchups.
Boyd-Buchanan's victory bumped their record up to 18-9-1. As for McCallie, their win bumped their record up to 15-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. McCallie hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Boyd-Buchanan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
McCallie came out on top in a nail-biter against Boyd-Buchanan in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 4-3. Will the Blue Tornado repeat their success, or do the Buccaneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
