The Western Warriors will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Kentucky Country Day Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. Western is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-28, which was the final score in Western's tilt against North Oldham on Friday. Western has not had much luck with North Oldham recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Western had strong showings from Aubryonna Durrah, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds, and Sequoia Cochran, who scored eight points. Cochran is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Kentucky Country Day took a serious blow against Highlands Latin last Friday, falling 44-15.
Western's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Kentucky Country Day, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2.
Western couldn't quite finish off Kentucky Country Day in their previous matchup back in February of 2021 and fell 38-35. Can Western avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
