The Northeast Lauderdale Trojans won against the West Lauderdale Knights last Tuesday with 64 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. Northeast Lauderdale walked away with a 64-57 win over the Knights. The win was familiar territory for Northeast Lauderdale who now have three in a row.
Northeast Lauderdale got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jeremiah Clark out in front who scored 14 points along with four steals. Clark is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Addison Baskin, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Northeast Lauderdale pushed their record up to 18-7 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for West Lauderdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-5.
Northeast Lauderdale will head out on the road to square off against the Knights at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Lauderdale knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matches -- so hopefully the Trojans like a good challenge. As for West Lauderdale, they will be playing at home against the Trojans at 8:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Mississippi (Northeast Lauderdale is ranked 31st, while the Knights are ranked 39th).
