After flying high against the Carol City Chiefs on Wednesday, the Goleman Gators came back down to earth. Goleman ended up on the wrong side of a tough 49-29 walloping at the hands of North Miami on Friday.
North Miami found their leader in underclassman Jadore Hayes , who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 20 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hayes has scored at least 25% of North Miami's points. Another player making a difference was Shaina Garvy, who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds.
Goleman's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for North Miami, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goleman will take on Miami Beach at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for North Miami, they will be playing at home against Northwestern at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
