It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Bellingham Bayhawks can now relate to. They were the victim of a rough 48-28 defeat at the hands of the Cougars on Tuesday. Bellingham just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Lakewood found their leader in underclassman Leiana Riveira, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was KRYSTLE RAYMOND, who scored seven points along with six steals.
Bellingham has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 13 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season. As for Lakewood, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-9.
