There's no place like home for the West Chargers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Lansing by a score of 52-41 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West also won the last time the pair played back in January.
West's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamoni Ford, who scored 14 points. Ford also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Jalen Foy, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
West's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Lansing, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West will take on Junction City at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Junction City's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Lansing will be home for the holidays to greet Piper on Friday. Piper knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Lansing likes a good challenge.
