Prescott won against Mohave on Saturday with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Badgers put the hurt on the Ironwood Eagles with a sharp 17-0 victory. Considering the Badgers have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Travis Gates made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Gates was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaden Lampe, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Nicholas 'Nick' Martin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Prescott was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win was the fifth in a row for Prescott, bringing their record up to 7-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Ironwood, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Prescott will head out to take on Paradise Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ironwood, they will take on Moon Valley in a tournament on Tuesday. The Rockets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.13 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
