While Poteet put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Samuell. The Pirates blew past the Spartans 18-0. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Poteet is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Samuell, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Poteet will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Spartans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
