Owasso and Union are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2017, but not for long. The Rams will be playing at home against the Redhawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Owasso is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oklahoma's top teams: Broken Arrow, who was ranked 17th at the time (Owasso was ranked fourth). The Rams enjoyed a cozy 28-14 victory over the Tigers on Friday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Drew Frankenfield and Jayden Hall were among the main playmakers for Owasso as the former threw for 196 yards and two TDs and the latter rushed for 203 yards. Those 203 rushing yards gave Hall a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Owasso was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 261 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Broken Arrow only rushed for 144.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Union, who bounced back after a loss on the road on September 12th. They walked away with a 16-6 victory over Edmond Santa Fe on Friday.
Owasso better keep an eye on Skyler Moorman. He was instrumental in Union's win, throwing for 149 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also rushing for 48 yards.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Union's defense and their four sacks. Leading the way was Rocky Bright with two. Union got some further help from Reyon Williams: he picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Union's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Owasso, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Owasso has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 282.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Union struggles in that department as they've been averaging 186.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Owasso against Union in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 48-14 win. In that contest, the Rams amassed a halftime lead of 27-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
