The Lake Mary Rams won the last time they faced the Lyman Greyhounds, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Lake Mary strolled past Lyman with points to spare, taking the game 59-42. Given Lake Mary's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Lyman is ranked 379th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Lyman still got an impressive performance from Max Mattingly, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Davion Jones, who scored 9 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Lake Mary and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for Lyman, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Lake Mary will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Brantley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lyman, they will head out on the road to face off against Oviedo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Oviedo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Wednesday.
