This season hasn't been kind to the Thomasville Bulldogs, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They were dealt a 60-6 loss at the hands of Davie on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Thomasville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 521st, while Davie is ranked 194th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Davie to victory, but perhaps none more so than Peyton Spaugh, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Another player making a difference was Bailey Aderhold, who scored 14 points along with five steals.
Thomasville's loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Davie, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thomasville will take on Ledford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Davie won't have much time to rest: their next match is against West Davidson at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th. West Davidson is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
