Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lisbon). They put the hurt on the Maple River Eagles with a sharp 20-4 victory on Thursday. Lisbon's win was all the more impressive since the Eagles were averaging only 3.38 runs allowed on the season.

Lisbon's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Maple River, they moved to 10-3 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Lisbon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-3 defeat against Central Cass on the 10th. Maple River has also already played their next matchup (against New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
