Soledad extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping their season record up to 11-7 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 13-12 W against the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Aztecs have posted since March 8, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Sophia Gonzalez, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run and two runs. Arlette Mosqueda was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Soledad kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.

As for Monte Vista Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for they, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-13.
