While losing is never fun, Poplarville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while Pass Christian is ranked 61st).
Moss Point's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-11. As for Poplarville, their defeat was their 20th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-21.
Everything came up roses for Moss Point against Poplarville in their previous matchup on January 3rd as the team secured a 56-17 victory. With Moss Point ahead 43-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
