Even though the Wenonah Dragons scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, the Minor Tigers still came out on top. Minor narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Wenonah 59-56. The win was nothing new for Minor as they're now sitting on three straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Minor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaiah Mcclain, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Mcclain has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Chatman, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds.
Minor's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Wenonah, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Minor will head out on the road to face off against Cornerstone at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cornerstone is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Wenonah, they will play host again and welcome Midfield, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Midfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Saturday.
