The Nease Panthers won the last time they faced the Creekside Knights, and things went their way on Thursday too. Nease snuck past Creekside with a 55-49 victory.
Nease got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was McKenna Owens out in front who scored 16 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Shruthika Kondabrolu, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Nease is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Creekside, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8.
Nease will take on Stanton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Stanton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Nease likes a good challenge.
