The Sylva Bay Academy Saints and the Hillcrest Christian Cougars squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Sylva Bay Academy Saints had to settle for second. They suffered a rough 55-30 loss at the hands of the Cougars. Sylva Bay Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-10.
Several Saints players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brody Boyd, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jabari Jones, who scored seven points.
Hillcrest Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eric Bass, who scored 16 points along with six assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bass has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Darius Barnes, who scored 17 points.
Sylva Bay Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Hillcrest Christian, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 22-6.
Sylva Bay Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hillcrest Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
