If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Barnstable. On Friday they will take on Dartmouth at 7:00 PM. Barnstable don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Barnstable might be getting used to good results now that the squad has three wins in a row. They took their match against Bridgewater-Raynham last Friday 36-29.
Meanwhile, the match between Dartmouth and New Bedford was not a total blowout, but with Dartmouth falling 12-30, it was darn close. This makes it the second loss in a row for Dartmouth.
Barnstable's victory lifted them to 4-2 while Dartmouth's defeat dropped them down to 1-5. We'll find out if Barnstable can add another positive mark to their record or if Dartmouth can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Barnstable's step.
