The Highland Scots will head out to challenge the Bakersfield Christian Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Highland's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Bakersfield with a sharp 12-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Scots sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Highland let Nevaeh Rodriquez and Kamilla Baltazar run wild. Rodriquez scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Baltazar scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Baltazar is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Madelyn Gonzalez was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bakersfield Christian). They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over Ridgeview on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.
Mia Pintor made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Pintor was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Bakersfield Christian got a massive performance out of Dakoda Hilvers, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Hilvers has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tia Nichols, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
Bakersfield Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Highland's record is now 11-2-2. As for Bakersfield Christian, their record now sits at 13-6.
Highland came up short against Bakersfield Christian when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 6-1. Can the Scots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
