The Morgan County Bulldogs will face off against the Callaway Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Morgan County comes in on eight and Callaway on three.
Last Saturday, Morgan County earned a 49-37 win over Rutland. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Hurricanes are ranked 420th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Morgan County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zeki Locus, who posted eight points along with ten boards and six assists. Locus is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Jacoby Simmons was another key player, putting up nine points.
Morgan County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Callaway). They claimed a resounding 76-49 victory over Harris County. With that win, the Cavaliers brought their scoring average up to 50 points per game.
Callaway's win came from a few key players Morgan County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bryceton Sanders, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kaiden James, who had eight points in addition to seven assists and six boards.
Morgan County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Callaway, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.
Morgan County took their win against Callaway in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 59-39. Does Morgan County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Callaway turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
