The Romulus Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Thurston on the road to the tune of 70-21. The win was just what Romulus needed coming off of a 44-19 defeat in their prior contest.
Leading Romulus to victory were Karma Jones-Johnson and Samaira Searcy. Jones-Johnson scored 15 points along with seven assists and five rebounds, while Searcy dropped a double-double on 28 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Searcy has scored at least 25% of Romulus' points. Another player making a difference was Jad? Jones, who scored ten points.
Romulus now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Thurston, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Romulus will square off against Annapolis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Thurston, they will head out on the road to face off against Redford Union at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
