Copan and Bluejacket are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Copan Hornets' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Bluejacket Chieftains at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Copan will be strutting in after a victory while Bluejacket will be coming in after a loss.
Last Saturday, Copan beat Riverfield Country Day 41-31. The win was just what Copan needed coming off of a 40-13 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Bluejacket's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 35-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wesleyan Christian.
Copan's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Bluejacket, they bumped their record down to 2-13 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Copan against Bluejacket in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 44-13 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Copan since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
