After six games on the road, Siegel is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
Siegel managed to keep up with Pearl-Cohn until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Siegel might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Pearl-Cohn an easy 64-44 win. While losing is never fun, Siegel can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Pearl-Cohn is ranked 61st).
Meanwhile, Shelbyville Central entered their tilt with Centennial with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Shelbyville Central blew past Centennial 48-27. Considering Shelbyville Central has won five matches by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Siegel has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Shelbyville Central, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
