The Kennedy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. The game between Kennedy and Torrington wasn't particularly close, with Kennedy falling 74-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Torrington's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was William Parkhouse, who scored 28 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luca White, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Kennedy has fallen quite a ways from their 18-6 record last season and are now at 2-4. As for Torrington, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing St. Paul Catholic the next time they take the court. Torrington will head out to face St. Paul Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Kennedy will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
