After a string of six wins, Creekside's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Spruce Creek Hawks by a score of 7-6. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 6-3.

Parker Morton was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Connor Balazic, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Creekside's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Spruce Creek, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Coming up, Creekside will face off against Bolles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Creekside's pitchers better be ready for this one: Bolles has averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Spruce Creek, they will be playing at home against St. Augustine at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
