While Covington's win against Crawfordsville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trojans won by a run and slipped past the Athenians 11-10. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Athenians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Covington got a massive performance out of Caydence Peaslee, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI Peaslee has posted over her last 11 matches. Lilly Pigg also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Covington's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Crawfordsville, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
