The Dillon Christian Warriors waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They were the clear victor by a 72-50 margin over Conway Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Dillon Christian also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Dillon Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braxton Cummings, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cummings has scored all season. Sean Locklear was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds.
Despite the loss, Conway Christian still got an impressive performance from Wyatt Polatty, who scored 29 points. Another player making a difference was Brailin Barnhill, who scored 11 points.
Dillon Christian pushed their record up to 10-8 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.5 points per game. As for Conway Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Dillon Christian will head out on the road to square off against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Southeastern Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 288 points over their last four matches. As for Conway Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cavaliers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee Academy is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
