The Campbell County Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 50-28 defeat at the hands of Powell. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Campbell County has scored all season.
Campbell County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dylan Ford, who scored five points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jake Hatmaker, who scored six points.
Campbell County has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Powell, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Campbell County will take on the Red Devils at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Powell, they will head out on the road to square off against the Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
