The East Lake Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the River Ridge Royal Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Lake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
East Lake was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Canterbury on Monday. East Lake blew past Canterbury 15-1. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Anna Folger was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, East Lake got a massive performance out of Meagan Bostak, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave Bostak a new career-high in RBI. Ali Sheffield was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
East Lake kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Canterbury only managed two hits.
Meanwhile, River Ridge had just enough and edged out Cypress Creek 2-1 on Friday. The Royal Knights haven't had any issues with the Coyotes recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Kylie Schuler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, River Ridge's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Vozdecky, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
East Lake's record now sits at 6-2. As for River Ridge, their record now sits at 5-3.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. East Lake has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. However, it's not like River Ridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
East Lake beat River Ridge 7-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Lake since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
