Two dominant signal callers in Kole Moody and Davis Barnett are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Southside Panthers will take on the Bayside Academy Admirals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Southside's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last 11 games.
Southside is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Glenwood by a score of 34-21.

Among those leading the charge was Jaibrien Gresham, who rushed for 85 yards and one TD. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2024.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Southside was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 242 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive matchups.
Southside didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Caeden Moody and Cedrick Simmons. Southside got some further help from Kendell Wilson: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Bayside Academy came tearing into Friday's contest with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Eagles 30-13.
Southside better keep an eye on Brennen Yamane. He was instrumental in Bayside Academy's win, rushing for 170 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.9 yards per carry, and also picking up 32 receiving yards and one score. Yamane's longest rush was for an incredible 85 yards.
Southside's victory bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Bayside Academy, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Southside has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 572.2 total yards per game. However, it's not like Bayside Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 378.6 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Southside skirted past Bayside Academy 26-24 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Admirals' Billy Neill, who rushed for 126 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries.
