Buckhorn has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Leslie County Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Buckhorn will be strutting in after a victory while Leslie County will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Saturday, it was close, but Buckhorn sidestepped Barbourville for a 52-50 victory. The win was just what Buckhorn needed coming off of a 68-43 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Leslie County's game on Monday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They received a tough blow as they fell 63-48 to Betsy Layne. Leslie County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Buckhorn's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Leslie County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Buckhorn was taken down by Leslie County 96-50 in their previous matchup back in February. Can Buckhorn avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
