The Bush Blazers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 83-29 loss at the hands of Draper APA.
Draper APA got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was La'La Baldwin out in front who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 assists. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Baldwin has scored at least 25% of Draper APA's points. Another player making a difference was Sammy Kartchner, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds.
Bush's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Draper APA, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Bush will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bear Creek at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Draper APA won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kankakee at 11:30 a.m. on December 20th. Kankakee is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
