The Nipomo Titans will head out to face off against the Paso Robles Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Nipomo came out on top against Pioneer Valley on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Titans took their contest against the Panthers 5-2. The game was the first time the Titans have beaten the Panthers on their field since May 15, 2021.

Alyssa Van Muysen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. Those 11 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jenessa Nunez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Paso Robles came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Conquistadores 12-5.
Paso Robles also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Noemi Ayon gave up three earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits.
At the plate, Isabelle Murphy was a standout: she got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Aubrie Velazquez, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Nipomo now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Paso Robles, their win bumped their record up to 15-10.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Nipomo hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. However, it's not like Paso Robles struggles in that department as they've averaged .347. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Nipomo got the 'W' in their previous meeting on April 2nd against Paso Robles by a conclusive 14-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
