The J.H. Rose Rampants had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came out on top against Havelock by a score of 70-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Justin Grimes, who scored 28 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Green, who scored 14 points along with six assists and two steals.
Havelock's loss came despite strong showings from Jaheim Waller and Chris Strong. Waller scored 22 points, while Strong scored 18 points. Waller is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight.
J.H. Rose has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Havelock, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
J.H. Rose will head out on the road to challenge North Pitt at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Pitt is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Havelock will take on D.H. Conley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. D.H. Conley is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
