Basketball Recap: Paramus Wins Going Away Against Weehawken

Paramus's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 46-28 win over the Weehawken Indians. The game marked the Spartans' most dominant victory of the season.

Eve Schmucker was her usual excellent self, putting up 17 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Schmucker is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Gianna Benaquista was another key player, scoring 12 points.

Paramus' win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Weehawken, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paramus will take on Lyndhurst in a tournament on Friday. Weehawken and Saddle Brook will round out the year against one another at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
