Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McAllen). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 69-7 win over the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Javelinas. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McAllen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dariana Luna, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points Luna has posted since back in November. Hailey Martinez was another key player, going 7 of 12 on her way to 15 points and five steals.

McAllen smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.

McAllen's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 14-8. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest, their loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.

McAllen will take on Pioneer in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pioneer is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest and Sharyland will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sharyland has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
