In what's become a running theme this season, the Whitman Vikings gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They blew past Quince Orchard 63-29 at home. Given Whitman's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Quince Orchard is ranked 147th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Whitman pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Quince Orchard, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
Whitman will head out on the road to square off against Gaithersburg at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Gaithersburg is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Quince Orchard, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bethesda-Chevy Chase at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bethesda-Chevy Chase focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday.
