Softball Recap: Edgewood Extends Winning Streak to Three

Edgewood had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Winona Wildcats a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Bulldogs have won eight games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Edgewood's victory bumped their record up to 17-8-1. As for Winona, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edgewood will welcome Alba-Golden at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winona, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Eustace at 6:00 p.m. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.29 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
