It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Owensboro Red Devils had no problem doing just that on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Atherton 43-7 on the road. The result was nothing new for Owensboro, who have now won eight games by 28 points or more so far this season.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Owensboro, bringing their record for this year to 9-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.3 points per game. As for Atherton, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2.
Owensboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Atherton also has no future games currently scheduled.
