The DuBois Beavers will head out to square off against the St. Marys Flying Dutch at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. DuBois is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
DuBois had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Brookville on Wednesday. The Beavers put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 10-3 victory. While the Beavers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Tyler Chamberlin made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Noah Farrell, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Madix Clark, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
DuBois kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.
St. Marys never got on the board in their matchup on Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Clarion-Limestone on Friday. They walked away with an 11-6 win over the Lions.
Jackson Vollmer was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-5. He also put up two doubles, which were his first of the season. Michael Miller was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
St. Marys is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for DuBois, their record is now 6-1.
St. Marys' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: DuBois has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .438. It's a different story for St. Marys, though, as they've only averaged .363. Will they be able to contain DuBois' hitters?
DuBois was able to grind out a solid win over St. Marys in their previous meeting back in March, winning 6-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Beavers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
