Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Alamosa Mean Moose, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against Delta on Saturday, falling 49-14. Alamosa's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Several Mean Moose players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brant Jackson, who picked up 118 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Talan Hulet was a one-man wrecking crew for Delta as he rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. Jovanny Romero was another major influence, as he rushed for 97 yards and ran in a TD.
Alamosa's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Delta, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Alamosa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Delta will head out on the road to face off against The Classical Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Classical Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
